Phase 1 of our site at East Tuddenham was made up of 4 contemporary dwellings which were based on the design of a site we had previously built at Great Ellingham.
The challenge of these houses was to keep all the ceiling heights of the first floors continuing to the underside of the roof without any visually obvious structural ties. The windows of these rooms were also made over sized to accentuate the height and volume of the spaces we had created.
Large roof overhangs also created engineering challenges which ultimately reflected in the oversized timbers that were required throughout the structure. Zinc bay window projections along with zinc window surrounds also accentuated the unusual designs of these houses.
